The best chrimble film has to be Home Alone, without doubt. Every kids' dream played out on screen and a really rather good performance from Culkin which you just don't get nowadays. Love it...

I've already stated my love for Nightmare Before Christmas. I absolutley love stop-motion, it's so clever and Tim burton has a fantastic way with a script. The OTT caricatures used are are great, makes the characters all loveable whilst still being just that little bit spooky (kinda like me then) The score is awesome, from all the nice little touches in the background to the musical numbers that fit in so well. There is nothing about this film I don't love.

I forgot about Home Alone. I love this movie, I've watched it dozens of times. It really is rare to find a good child actor.

I quite like the new(ish) Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart...but then I'm a soft sod and a trekkie. Jingle All The Way's alright if you look past the naffness of it, it has midgets so that gets my vote.

...Thought the Grinch was shit though.

Yesterday I did my DVD shopping for entertainment on Christmas Day. Since we will probably be drunk by breakfast, it has to be silly stuff. So far we have:

• Bad Santa
• Nightmare Before Christmas
• Family Guy Christmas Special

But I like the idea of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, might have to try find that this week.

Slightly OTT, but does anyone know of any cool chrimbo TV specials I can get on DVD?

The Men Behaving Badly special was fantastic. There have been a few excellent simpsons ones and the first few only fools ones are worth watching (The last 2 were pretty dire though).

I love "Santa Claus the Movie" as it was the first film I ever saw at the cinema when I was 5 :D

Scrooged and Nightmare Before Christmas are good but the best Christmas Film has to be It's a Wonderful Life, which I was most miffed wasn't shown this year :no:
