View Full Version : How many calories...

Are in a slice of crusty white bread? I'd say it was medium sized. There's no info on the packaging and I had two slices with my lunch, so can't calculate calorie intake until I know. It wasn't terribly crusty which I'm rather disgruntled about.

Also:
A medium orange
A small red apple
About 2 inches of cucumber.

I wasn't going to count those but then I realised they obviously do have a calorie content, even if it is small...

I know nothing about calories, as you can see. I dieted with Weight Watcher's points before. I'll probably be posting in this thread every day so if somebody knows of a website that calculates calories, it'd stop me bothering you so much. :)

Warburton's and the like can be over 100cals a slice. Average, bog standard white bread is about 80cals, though. Crusty maybe more.

Ta Kinky. We were using Warburtons but I've switched to WW white bread (they didn't have brown, only granary, eurgh).

I quite like the Granary!

Bread is one of the biggest evil calorie demons ever. God bless Nimble and WeightWatchers! Even a tiny petit pain has 100cals in it, which shocked me!

Yeah, bread shocks me. And gawd, the amount of calories in pitta bread! Seriously need to cut bread down in my diet, it's my weakness

Oh don't get me wrong, I have *nothing* against asterisks. The only reason that woman annoys me is that she uses them far too much. She can use up to 3 or 4 per sentence, and her posts are usually quite long (she considers herself an expert on all matters to do with tarantulas, see).
