View Full Version : Misquotes - The Movie Game

I just thought of this game, it might be fun...

OK, so the first person posts a picture of a film star and then a quote from a famous film, the two must be linked in some way but the actor must not have been the one who made the quote.

The next poster says what the link is and then posts a picture of the person who really said the quote and then posts a new quote which is tenuously linked to the picture.

Got it?

You must: Host the images yourself and keep them SFW.

So it might start off with a picture of Danny DeVito and a quote "Are you looking at me?"

The next person would say "thats Taxi and Taxi Driver" and then post a picture of Robert DeNiro and then a quote.

I will begin....

Are you looking at me ?

the link is Taxi and Taxi Driver

(Does someone have to guess the tenuous link? Cause finding who's quote it is will be a tad easy and not much of a game really)

Well, its a shame, I thought this was quite a good idea.
Maybe the posting of images is too time consuming for the majority?

ummm, well that as well as its quite hard if youre not a huge movie buff. i mean, hellen mirren and hitch is perhaps obvious to some, but not to me. and i have seen the movie in question and would like to consider myself pretty good on movies.

perhaps a hint is in order? or is that too easy and im too stupid? essentially its the hunting around for the link thats too time consuming. for me at least.

The tenuous link was Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in which Helen Mirren did the voice for Deep Thought (source IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000545/))

You could be right about the pic's Xavier. Feel free to restart without pic's if you think it'll help.

I must say though, this game worked really well when it was still inside my head :P

Oooh, I think I get it. The line is from Hitch and Hellen Mirren was the voice of Deep Thought in the Hitch-hiker's guide to the Galaxy remake right?

So, assuming Im right, the next picture and quote gives us.

Previous Answer: Rocky Balboa

New line: "Please let us take you for a ride!"

Right, my first guess is...

The character played by Cliff in Summer Holiday was called Don, so the link to Rocky would be Don King

Xavier
Feb 15, 2007, 11:18
That is a great answer, and quite tenuous, more so than the answer I was thinking of - wish I'd thought of that.

Cliff is the right person for the line though. But the link needs work.

So the link is Cliff Richard in Summer Holiday to Richie in Summer of Sam, quote:
You don't know what it's like when you try and you try and you try and you don't ever get there

trickier one this time then

Well, i think the quote is from Fast times at ridgemount high, but if its a direct link of character or cast \ crew between SOS and Fast times I can't find it. still looking though
