Rowdy Roddy Piper kicks ass.

It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum. And I'm all out of gum.

Its a classic film, the special effects are rubbish and the dialogue is hokey. Yet I love the film for this, theres talks about a modern remake and you know its going to be so polished and miss the point spectacularly.

It's an awesome film, just wish I hadn't run out of bubblegum half way through watching it, I had to kick ass because of it.

That is one John Carpenter cult film I have watched many times over in the past now on VHS PAL and now DVD.

The first thing I could remember about the film which was back in the early of 1989 just a few weeks before Indian Jones whipped out few Indy punches was the Dolby Stereo A type soundtrack on They Live and the use of helicopter sound effects.

Carpenter is big fan of those I believe. Well I was deeply into the film the first moment the atmospheric sound started to come from the loudspeakers and the score a simple few beats followed by harmonistic sound that delighted me.

Though the story was deeply apoplectic like Escape From New York, The Thing and Prince of Darkness I was rooting for Nada and Frank but those darn Aliens, well at least there secret was unscrambled at the end.
