Looks almost certain they will be split for release in late Sept. now.
Neither director concerns me much these days, but I thought the double-bill gimmick was a large part of the appeal, as well as being important to how each was cut. Now it's just about coughing up twice for two seperate films that were intended to be one feature (and presumably the same applies for the DVD release). Kerr-ching, etc.
(Blimey - have I just shown a smidgen of sympathy for fanboys? Nurse - the screens!)
