2. As the game starter, I give them the truth or dare.
3. They have 24 hours to complete it. If they don't do it within 24 hours, they can't play anymore and their life will turn to shit. They'll probably develop a drug habit and die in utter destitution. Play goes to the next player, and once again I choose the truth or dare.
4. If they do complete it the next person chooses truth or dare (and the original player goes to heaven when they die). The player who's just completed their truth or dare sets the next one.

Dares:
Dares are photographic and should allow us to get some very surreal pictures.

Really, Honey Trap shouldn't be out to play ever again, but I talked to some others who were involved in the game's conception and a three week ban for a first offence was decided, because I appreciate some people may not want to do a certain dare. Tbh I can't see what's so bad about Honey Trap's dare and several others have agreed, but then both of you think it was a harsh one. HT, you could have worn a long overcoat over your turned-around clothes, got to the bus stop, took off the coat, got your boyfriend or a friend to take the photo, whip the coat back on and leave. I don't see what was so harsh. Basically, what's the point in playing this game if people are going to chicken out of the dares? And, if they think the dares are too harsh/too humiliating/too stupid, then why would they want to play anyway?

The original post said the idea was to get some funny and surreal photos. I'd say that made it pretty obvious that we might have to make fools of ourselves, like a certain Dominoid, Doggy, Freeluncher and Madbadhairday who have been good sports.

I'll make the rules clearer for the next round, where people can choose to no longer play if they so wish. For now, if you're not up for dares, then just choose truth.

I'd rather the order of play was kept to avoid one person keep on having to do dares. As for choosing the next dare, if one of yours has already been considered un-doable then it's probably best you don't choose the next one, because if that person doesn't want to do it they could complain that the person was being too harsh etc...

I'm trying to think of a fair incentive to do your own dare... maybe if you do your own dare, you have the option to hear both the truth and dare on your next go and then choose which to do? Any other ideas anyone?

I agree about leeway, but I think the player should say when they choose truth or dare if they need extra time. Otherwise we won't know what's going on and whether someone is just being late or if they aren't going to do it at all. Like now we know that butch would have trouble on weekdays so we'd know not to move on to the next person.

Personally, I like the slight edge of urgency the 24 hour rule creates, even IF you have work the next day. Your ninja suit Cappy, and Superdog were created in a rush but were superduper special.

If someone is going to be away when its their turn, or if they know in advance that they will have problems then they should be allowed a bit of leeway, but a holding chamber thing will probably just make the whole thing very confusing and hold up people further down the list while they wait for stuff to happen.

I agree with this also, aslong as the player lets us know so it doesn't get confusing.

How about this - everybody who can't play on weekdays (or can't play on weekends if there's anybody without internet access at home or whatever) they let me know. Then I'll put the names in seperate piles and randomly arrange them in Weekday and Weekend lists. Then from Monday - Friday we only play with the Weekday players and Friday night - Sunday night only the Weekend players. Once the names in those lists have been arranged I'll chuck the people in that don't care when they do it.

It may sound complicated but it makes sense to me, and since I'm the person with the excellent-sorting-hat if everybody's happy with that arrangement that's what I'll do.

Regarding "holding chambers" and delays, or having different groups for weekdays and weekends, are we not in danger of making this too slow and complicated? Might it be better if we ask those suggesting dares to tailor the dare to the amount of time available to the dare-ee? For example if I have to suggest a dare for, say dogbomb, and I know he is limited for time, the dare should take this into consideration and be one he can do in a matter of a few minutes?

I'm banking on only a handful of people, max, only being free weekdays or weekends. If everybody starts requesting time off then I'm not doing that because yes, it'll get too complicated and suck the fun out of it. If you're like Cappy and don't get in until 8pm at night it's unfair to say 24 hours or you're out because then you can't take part through no fault of your own. This game should only take 15 minutes out of your week, or out of every fortnight, so most people shouldn't need the specific times.

I don't really think we need to worry about the "holding chamber" or "special circumstances". It's working fine as it is. 24 hours is long enough for most people to sort out, and those who know they aren't going to be able to do it can speak up.

If someone is going on Holiday or whatever, they should drop out of the game anyway.

Actually it was not as bad as it looked, and Catch helped me pick up. It was mostly a few washcloths and a few towels. I knocked all of my hair junk into the sink, but it looked like MUCH more than that!!
