A man called the RSPCA to report that he had a gorilla on the roof of his house that was refusing to come down.
The RSPCA inspector turned up and got out of his van carrying a gun, a baseball bat and a small Jack Russell terrier.
"Okay", says the RSPCA inspector. "This is what I'm going to do. I'm going to climb up on the roof and hit the gorilla with this baseball bat. When he falls down, the dog will bite him in the goolies and that should subdue him long enough to get him into the van."
"Great" says the man "But what's the gun for?"
"In case I fall off the roof" came the reply. "Make sure you shoot the dog".
