Ok, for the past two weeks i have finally been going to the gym, have a good program sorted out which focuses on a cardiovascular / upper body strength / weight loss.

As you will see from my pic see here (http://www.dogbomb.co.uk/board/showthread.php?threadid=2706) , I have more of a keg than a 6-pack. I am not looking for the mens health cover model uber definition, but want increased muscle mass, washboard stomach and to be trimmer :)

I have stopped eating crap ( so sweets, chocolate, biscuits, pizza, takeaways etc ) and all seems to be going well. In order to impropve recovery and assist muscle development rather than going with the creatin, i go with

150ml Skimmed milk + 2tbl spoons of skimmed milk powder + 1 150g pot of low fat yoghurt + 1 banana which provides 58g of carbohydrate / 23g protein / 1g fat :D

Do any of you guys have any serious suggestions/hints/tips or pointers :)

The better half has just slung me on a diet because she says, and I quote " Greenpeace were asking after you again" I must ask, is there anything in this world that tastes worse than steamed chicken? Other than cat shit I mean.

I'm eating tuna and pasta at the moment. cheap, tasty and good for you. Should also look into swimming as well as your gym work out as this will give you an all over tone as well and the results are very quick. I've only been back in the pool about 3 weeks and the difference is already noticeable.

If you wanna lose weight with slight body muscle toine build then cardio with light weights is your stuff. Food wise you wanna keep it balanced and not do a diet cos your body will burn the fat your body has to keep you going but the food you eat willl feed your muscles and body.
If you wanna go Beefcake then after 4 weeks you wanna tke the weights up and do more reps. Because your doing more weght you HAVE to eat more again keep it balanced and sensible, no diet this is as before BUT you r body burns an awful lot of fat and if your on a diet the body will also burn all your fat and your muscle bulk cos the body is hungry.
Hope this is some help :D

Any probs give me a pm and will help LK ;D

<<<<<< Fitness instructor

Eat a healthy breakfast, eating breakfast speeds up metabolism by 3% which aids the weight loss aspect as it helps ur body convert food intake to energy instead of building up fatty deposits, dont diet this causes the body to horde fat reserves every time you do eat. Drink lots of water as well this helps ur body get rid of toxins as mentioned above light weights help tone the muscles you need to change your programme every three weeks this means that you dont get a chance to plateau i.e get used to the level of exercise asked spend about 30 - 40 minutes on c.v exercise each session but at quite q low intensity this will help burn fat using this you can lose up to a stone in 6weeks good luck!!

i'm really glad i don't have the problem of being over weight. I just couldn't watch what i eat. I'm constantly eating and i love food. Usually its bad for me but hell i love it. I love McDonalds, burger king, Pizza, chili cheese dog from Sheetz (local convience store). If its bad for you, i'm all for it!

Same here, I weigh a ridiculous amount but I'm not fat...at least I hope not... *engage paranoia* Quick someone check my picture to make sure I'm not fat. I'm 12 stone and not even 5 9... not even 5 8 I don't think. Can anyone explain why I'm the smallest person in the heaviest weight category of anything I do?

all is going very well so far and i am not bored of eating healthily (possibly due to the fact i am amused that there are more calories in a pint of OJ than in beer)

Lots of vegetables, chicken, beef (lean of course), I think that weight loss at the moment is down to two things 1. The 1700 calories i burn off in the gym each week 2. i no longer eat chocolate / biscuits / pizza etc.

give me a month and i think i will post a progress review picture and if anyone wants it a recipe sheet of what i have been eating.

Thanks for keeping it serious lads and your suggestions are appreciated :)
